| If I mail a photo to you for photo restoration will I get it back?
ABSOLUTELY! We will return to you your original photo, the restored image on a
CD and a photographic print of your restoration. Back to Top |
|
| What do you charge for a photo restoration?
All orders are $25.00 and up (depending upon what needs to be done with the
photo). Back to Top |

Do you do anything to my original picture when you make a restoration?
NO! We take very good care of it. We scan it onto a computer and using computer
software we restore the SCANNED image. We then make a photographic print from
the scanned image and can record the image onto a CD for you if you choose.

|
| How long does the service take?
We typically turn all orders around in within 10 business days of receiving
them. Back to Top |
|
| What if I don’t like the restoration?
You will! But seriously, if you do not just let us know we will re-do the image
for you until you are happy at no additional charge. Back to Top |
|
| Do you restore copyrighted images?
No, we cannot. Copyrighted images are protected by law and we are not able to
scan, restore or reproduce any copyrighted image. Back to Top |
|
| Can you restore images that are framed?
We can try, please make an effort to remove the picture from the frame. If you
cannot, contact us and we will see what we can do. Sending glass framed photos
through the mail or delivery service is not typically advised. The glass can
break and do further damage to the picture. Back to Top |
|
| Need help packaging?
Check for a FedEx,
UPS, or
USPS store near you! Be sure to give us your phone
number or email address and how you would prefer to be contacted. We will
contact you when they arrive! Back to Top |
|
| How do you order restoration work?
Package your photos in a suitable mailing envelope or box; back photo with rigid
cardboard. Do whatever packaging is needed to protect your photos. Clearly mark
the package: "Photos - Do NOT bend." Include a completed order form for each
photo. Send us your order via
US Postal Service,
FedEx or
UPS. Be sure to ask for a tracking number. You will not need extra insurance
because an actual cash value cannot be placed on photos. Back to

|
| How do I pay? A personal
check or money order may be sent by mail. Back to Top |

I have a scanner at home. Can I scan my originals myself and send you
electronic files?
Yes, in fact a 100% electronic transfer is preferable. There is no time or money
lost in shipping and you even save a few bucks in scanning costs. Consider
however that the better the "raw material" we get the better our results are. We
recommend doing all scans at 600 dpi (optical) on a quality scanner.

|
Is it safe to ship fragile photos to you for scanning?
In general yes. The scanning process will not harm the images. Shipping has an
inherent risk of damage or loss but you can do a lot to make this risk minimal.
Always ship with a quality shipper (we use
FedEx,
UPS and
US Postal Service for
return shipment) and be sure to package the images correctly see the
Packing And Shipping Guide. Back to Top |

I don't have a scanner but still don't want to ship my originals - what do I
do? Many local print shops offer quality scanning at very affordable prices.
Take your originals there to be scanned and ask for the scanned files on a CD.
